Laudato Si
Our Mission
Inspired by Pope Francis’ encyclical Laudato Si’, our mission is to answer God’s call to care for our common home. We believe that the world is a precious gift from God, and we are all called to be stewards of creation — protecting the Earth and caring for every person, especially the poor and vulnerable. Through prayer, learning, and action, we work together to build a cleaner, fairer, and more hopeful world.
We have a dedicated group of children in our school who form our Laudato Si’ Group. They lead by example, helping to promote care for creation through prayer, projects, and activities that involve the whole school community.
Our Aims
- To Pray – We pray for our world and for all who suffer because of environmental damage, asking God to guide us in caring for His creation.
- To Learn – We study Laudato Si’ and discover how faith and science together help us understand the importance of looking after the Earth.
- To Act – We lead projects in school that protect the environment, such as recycling, energy saving, litter picking, and planting for wildlife.
- To Inspire – We encourage others in our school and parish community to live out the message of Laudato Si’ through their words and actions.
- To Celebrate – We thank God for the beauty of creation and look for ways to celebrate and protect it in our daily lives.
